London To Receive $3.3 Million More From McGuinty Government in 2009
Ontario Municipal Partnership Fund Support and Strengthens Communities

This year, the City of London will realize a net increase of $3.3 million, over their 2007 Ontario Municipal Partnership Fund (OMPF) allocation. This good news is part of the combined benefit of over $17.3 million in OMPF funding, and the estimated savings from the upload of the Ontario Drug Benefits (ODB) and the Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) administration.
In the October 2008 report of the Provincial-Municipal Fiscal and Service Delivery Review, the province, the Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) and the City of Toronto agreed to the key principle that the OMPF should remain responsive to changes in municipal circumstances, such as the upload of Ontario Drug Benefits (ODB), Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) and Ontario Works (OW) benefits.
