Ontario is supporting festivals and events in London to help boost tourism and local
economic activity.
The province is supporting 4 festivals and events in London through the Celebrate
Ontario 2010 program, with an investment of $187,000.
With this funding, these festivals and events can further enhance their programs and activities to attract new audiences, increase visitor spending and create jobs.
London’s Celebrate Ontario recipients include:

Celebrate Ontario supports the province’s Open Ontario Plan, recently introduced in
the Speech from the Throne. The plan will build a new foundation for economic
growth and jobs in Ontario.
"The cultural and economic impact will be unprecedented for all of the London festivals
receiving Celebrate Ontario 2010 support. This much-needed funding will help them to
enhance their artistic offerings at a level designed to further put London on the map as a
major summer tourist destination. And because all of the recipients are free-admission
events, it upholds their commitment to reaching the widest possible audience on both sides of the Canada-U.S. border."
