Creating New Learning Spaces For Our Youngest Students McGuinty Government Provides Funding To Build Full-Day Learning Classrooms

March 30 – Ontario's next step in its full-day early learning plan will see an estimated 750 classrooms built or renovated over the next two years.

The government is providing $245 million in capital funding to school boards to build new classrooms and renovate existing ones to support the implementation of Ontario's integrated full-day early learning program.

The program will be phased into all elementary schools over the next five years. It's an important part of the province's Open Ontario plan to increase student achievement, build a stronger workforce and break the cycle of poverty.
